Kelly McCart (Owner)

Gene Waters (Service Manager)

  • Gene brings a wealth of experience to McCart's Auto Center, with a remarkable 34 years in the automotive industry. Hailing from Stone Mountain, Georgia, Gene and his family currently reside in the serene Lake Jackson area.

    Family plays an essential role in Gene’s life, with an enduring 10-year marriage to Kristi Waters. Their family circle is filled with the joy of four children: Bri, Jade, Dalton, and Stephanie. Additionally, they take pride in being grandparents to three adorable grandkids: Emberlynn, Jack, and Jett.

    His impressive career journey includes roles as a Regional Manager, Location Manager, and Outside Sales at White Brothers Auto Parts. He’s also managed stores, worked in commercial management, and sold automotive parts at prominent establishments like Pep Boys Auto, Big A Auto Parts, and NAPA Auto Parts.

    When not working, Gene finds peace and enjoyment in the simple pleasure of fishing.

    What he values most about working at McCart's is the positive work atmosphere and the spirit of teamwork that thrives in the workplace. This sense of camaraderie is essential in creating a fulfilling work environment.

Matt Goglia (Senior Technician)

  • Matt Goglia became a valued member of the McCart’s Auto Center family in September 2021. With a wealth of experience and a love for family and community, Matt’s presence is a testament to the importance of long-term dedication.

    Matt is happily married to his wife, Melissa, and they currently reside in Conyers with their two feline companions, Merlin and Sydney. Their family circle is filled with joy, as they’re proud parents to two grown children, Kristopher and Danielle, and also cherish their role as grandparents to three lovely granddaughters: June, JoJo, and Emily.

    Matt’s journey in the automotive industry spans over four decades, having started in 1979. His expertise was honed in various roles at Rich’s, Goodyear, and Firestone before settling into Auto Tech Service Center in Conyers in 1992. This was his professional home until 2021 when he joined the McCart’s team. Matt’s credentials are rock-solid, with over 35 years of ASE certification under his belt.

    Beyond his professional life, Matt finds fulfillment in spending quality time with family and friends. His weekends are often filled with the joy of fishing and the art of grilling, bringing people together through shared experiences.

    Matt deeply appreciates the culture at McCart’s Auto Center. The strong sense of teamwork and the meticulous quality control program in place resonate with him. He sees McCart’s as an extended family and values the opportunity to contribute his expertise. His commitment is unwavering, and he hopes to continue serving the McCart team until retirement.

 

Josh Fisher (Diagnostic Technician)

  • Josh Fisher has been a dedicated member of the McCart’s Auto Center team since April 2015. His journey is a testament to his deep commitment to his work and his family.

    Josh is happily married to Stacy Fisher, and together, they share the joys of parenthood with their 9-year-old son, Gabe Fisher. Family is at the core of his life.

    Originally from Loganville, GA, Josh now calls Monroe, GA, his home. With an impressive 18 years of experience as an auto technician, he’s honed his skills over nearly two decades.

    When he’s not under the hood, Josh loves taking his family on exciting adventures, including off-roading and camping in their trusty overlanding Toyota 4Runner. He’s also an enthusiastic member of Venture Unknown, where his passion for exploration finds a community.

    What Josh values most about working at McCart’s is the wealth of knowledge provided by Kelly McCart. He regards the workplace as family-oriented and deeply appreciates the honesty and integrity upheld by the team. It’s a place where learning and camaraderie go hand in hand, making each day a fulfilling experience.

David Wagner (Line Technician)

  • David Wagner is a respected member of McCart’s Auto Center since March 2023. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, he now resides in Conyers, Georgia. David’s professional commitment is matched by his dedication to his family, including his  wife, Jackie Bishop Wagner, and their children, Cliff and Jenny Bishop. Additionally, he takes pride in being a doting grandfather to Amelie and Felicity, aged 7 and 5, respectively.

    David’s career path is notable. With a solid 15 years at Parker’s Automotive in Conyers, he cultivated his automotive expertise. Subsequently, he transitioned into a distinct field, serving as an Ophthalmic Equipment repair technician at ET Ophthalmic for an impressive 20-year period. His return to the automotive realm was prompted by the retirement of ET Ophthalmic’s owner, solidifying his commitment to the industry.

    Outside the realm of auto repair, David is an enthusiast of amateur radio and enjoys camping. He attends the Haven Fellowship Church, where he finds fulfillment in fellowship.

    David values the professional relationships he has forged at McCart’s Auto Center. He holds his co-workers in high regard, recognizing the strength that comes from collaboration and camaraderie within the workplace.

    In addition to his professional accomplishments, David’s military background boasts an honorable discharge from the Army. His diverse journey, marked by professional accomplishments and personal values, makes him a strong member of the McCart’s team, embodying the qualities of dedication and service.

Jack McCart (Apprentice Technician)

  • Jack McCart has been with McCart’s Auto Center since May 2023. Jack is a high school senior at Loganville High School, living in Loganville with his parents. He’s part of a unique work-based learning program and is dual-enrolled at Toccoa Falls College. Outside of work and studies, he enjoys hanging out with friends, listening to music (especially old country), playing video games, and fishing. One of his favorite things about working at McCart’s is the lack of weekend shifts, and he values the positive influence of his co-workers.

 

Blake Joyner (LIght Service Technician)

  • Blake Joyner joined the McCart's Auto Center team in February 2022, bringing his enthusiasm and a wealth of experience to the shop.

    Blake is happily married to a wonderful woman, and he values the love and support that family brings to his life.

    Born in Loganville and currently residing in Monroe, he has deep roots in the local community. Blake has dedicated 17 years to the automotive industry, with experience working on vehicles across different periods in his career.

    In his free time, Blake enjoys attending festivals, going on vacations, savoring great food, and relishing the great outdoors. He's an outdoorsman, indulging in activities like shooting sports and fishing, finding relaxation in the tranquility of nature.

    What Blake appreciates most about McCart's is the absence of weekend shifts, providing him more quality time for his personal interests. The welcoming and friendly work environment is something he values.

    And as a fun fact, he's been called the "Song Bird of his generation," which adds a touch of musical charm to his personality. Blake Joyner is a well-rounded individual who contributes a positive energy to the McCart's team.

Jimmy Worley (Heavy Line Technician)

  • Jimmy Worley has been a valued member of McCart’s Auto Center since March 2020. With a commitment to both his work and his family, Jimmy’s story is a testament to the values of hard work and devotion.

    Jimmy is a devoted family man, married to Ashley, and they have one daughter, Lydia, with another child on the way—baby Harper will be arriving in October.

    Growing up in Jonesboro and now residing in Covington, Jimmy has deep roots in the local community. He’s amassed 11 years of experience as a mechanic, with previous work at a used car lot in Forest Park.

    In his spare time, Jimmy finds solace in spending quality moments with his family and pursuing his love for fishing. He values these moments of relaxation.

    What he loves most about McCart’s Auto Center is its “small town” ambiance and the fact that it’s a family-owned and operated business. Jimmy appreciates working under the fair and respectful leadership of Kelly, who values and respects his employees.

    A hands-on enthusiast, Jimmy enjoys building and tinkering with anything that has wheels or an engine. However, he underscores that family is the compass that guides his life, prioritizing their well-being above all else.
